NBS #285 – Key Theme: The Jīva
The jīva is an eternal, conscious, spiritual particle and an infinitesimal servant of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Though constitutionally transcendental, the conditioned soul becomes entangled through false identification with the material body and mind. By reviving one’s original Kṛṣṇa consciousness through devotional service, the jīva becomes liberated and regains its natural position of loving service to the Lord.
