e ghora saḿsāre paḍiyā mānava
na pāyā duḥkher śeṣa
sādhu-sańga kori hari bhaja jadi
tabe anta hay kleśa

biṣaya anale jwāliche hṛdaya
anale baḍe anal
aparādha chādi’ laya kṛṣṇa-nāma
anale paḍāye jal
(3)
nitāi caitanya caraṇa-kamale
āśraya laila jei
kalidāsa bole jībane marane
āmār āśraya sei
TRANSLATION
1) “Fallen into the horrible material world, a person suffers without end. Still, of he associates with devotees and worships Lord Hari, a person will make his sufferings come to an end.
2) The heart burns in the fire of sense gratification. The fire burns more and more. Avoiding offenses, chant the holy names of Lord Krsna. That will pour water on the fire.
3) He who has taken shelter of the lotus feet of Lord Caitanya and Lord Nityananda is my shelter in life and death. Thus says Kalidasa.”
